11th Annual Gary Stewart Memorial Horseshoe Tournament and Barbecue

When

Saturday, March 27th 2010, 12:00p–5:00p

Where

Riley’s Tavern, Hunter, TX [map]

What

Join us as we come together once again to honor the memory of Gary Stewart, saint of the honky-tonk. As per tradition, we will descend on Riley’s (just south of San Marcos in Hunter, TX) for an afternoon of horseshoes, good country music, and damn good barbecue… just how ol’ Gary would like it.

This is the 10th anniversary of the event, so we’ve got some great things in store for you, the 502 faithful. Paula’s father is providing the barbecue this year and I hear that it’s quite the rare treat! As always, the grand prize for the horseshow tournament is a t-shirt, custom designed by our own Reverend Shields. This year’s design is going to be a doozy.

Everything kicks off at noon, immediately following the Pick N’ Pull Review, and runs until around 5:00pm.

Membership

Don’t forget to renew your membership if you haven’t done so already. We rely on your financial support to fund things like the annual barbecue, and the scholarships we award at the Exit Review and our new Pick N’ Pull Review. Without you, none of this would be possible. You can click on the “Join” button in the right sidebar to pay your dues online.

If you’ve already renewed, we really appreciate it!
